Exactly how much cost of liviing in Taiwan

Last time we told about the uniqueness of Taiwan, you might be curious what it would be to live or study in Taiwan. I think the first thing that people do care, it might be the cost of living in Taiwan.

Among all spending category, the most important and major expending might be Accommodation, cloth, dining and transportation.

Rent

Even thought people always said’’ location, location and location’’, however there is always a way to talk average rate.

If you are living in normal residential area, rent for an apartment is around $380-$400 monthly, you could split the bill with your roommate.

Cloth

The wardrobe store is very common such as uniqlo, GU, H&M and also one of local brand is called ‘’NET’’. The normal blank T-shirt could be $10-$11  


 














Transportation

I have to say the public transit in Taipei is really convenient and visitor friendly.
You could by an EasyCard at any convenience store, and it essentially operates as a transit pass that can be used on the metro, bus, trains, and rentable bikes around the city. Plus, the pass can be used across all of Taiwan, not just Taipei. Low fare rates and the fact that Taipei is such a concentrated city meant that you might only spend an average of $60 on transportation per month.

Dining

I think everyone has their own tasty for food favorite so it is not easy to compare.
So I think the fast food restaurant is very good reference because it is so global and global in everywhere. The Big Mac is around $4.5. What do you think? Cheaper or more expensive compare to what you buy in your country?

Finally I really need to praise the how cheap is our registration fee to see the doctor, due to the health insurance for citizen , we normally only need to pay $5 when you see the doctor. It is actually very cheap and affordable. Because of this, I always see some people who is immigrate to other country come back to Taiwan if they need to see the doctor or medical care.
